Distel’s Details — Online Booking Terms of Service
1. Parties & Scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the online booking of detailing services from Distel’s Details LLC (“we,” “us,” “Distel’s Details”) by the customer (“you”). By booking an appointment through our site or booking system, you agree to these Terms.
2. Appointment Requests vs. Confirmed Appointments
All bookings submitted through the online booking form are requests. A booking becomes a confirmed appointment only after you receive a confirmation email, SMS, or phone call from Distel’s Details. We will make reasonable efforts to confirm your requested date/time; if the requested slot is unavailable, we will contact you to reschedule.
3. Deposits & Payment Authorization
We require payment or a deposit to confirm certain appointments:
- A deposit of 25% of the estimated service total may be required to secure the appointment.
- For Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)/Afterpay/Klarna purchases, orders are subject to the BNPL provider’s terms. We do not control BNPL authorization or payment schedules.
- By providing card details, you authorize Distel’s Details to charge the card for deposits, cancellation fees, damages, and other fees as described in these Terms.
4. Pricing & Estimates
Quoted prices are estimates based on the information you provide. Final charges may vary if additional services are requested or if the vehicle’s condition requires extra labor/materials. We will notify you if additional charges are required prior to performing work when practicable.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Customer cancellations:
- If you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, no cancellation fee will apply and any deposit will be refunded or credited, per your request.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment may forfeit the deposit.
- Failure to appear for a confirmed appointment without prior notice is a no-show and may result in forfeiture of deposit.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to staff illness, weather, vehicle safety concerns, or other operational reasons; we will attempt to provide notice and an alternative appointment.
6. Late Arrival & Turnaround
If you arrive late, we may need to shorten or reschedule the appointment. If we proceed with a shortened service at your request, fees will be adjusted accordingly and any remaining balance will still be due.
7. Gift Cards
- All gift card purchases are final and nonrefundable.
- Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Gift cards are valid for 24 months from purchase unless otherwise stated. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced without proof of purchase.
8. Customer Responsibilities & Vehicle Condition
You agree to the following before service begins:
- Remove all personal belongings, valuables, portable electronics, child car seats, pet carriers, aftermarket seat covers, and any items you wish to keep. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is accessible and has sufficient fuel for pickup/drop-off (if applicable).
- Disclose any pre-existing damage, leaks, or mechanical issues. Vehicles with interior contamination (e.g., biohazards, excessive pet hair, heavy soiling, hazardous materials) may require additional fees or refusal of service.
- If we encounter conditions that pose health or safety risks, we may stop service and invoice for work performed.
9. Service Limitations, Damage & Liability
While we exercise reasonable care, detailing involves contact with surfaces; minor cosmetic imperfections (e.g., paint swirls, micro-scratches) can be revealed during service. We disclaim responsibility for underlying paint or surface conditions that pre-exist service unless caused directly by our negligence.
If accidental damage occurs due to our negligence, our liability is limited to repair or a refund up to the amount paid for the particular service, except where prohibited by law. We disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of use), to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to promptly notify us of any concerns within 48 hours of service completion so we can evaluate and, if appropriate, address the issue.
10. Photos, Reviews & Marketing
We may take before-and-after photos for quality control and marketing. By booking, you grant Distel’s Details a non-exclusive license to use photos of your vehicle for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing before service. We will not publish personally identifying information without consent.
11. Refunds & Satisfaction
If you are not satisfied with a completed service, contact us within 48 hours and we will work to address the issue (rework, partial refund, or other remedy) at our discretion.
12. Taxes & Fees
Applicable sales tax and any disposal or environmental fees are the customer’s responsibility and will be added to the final invoice.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Distel’s Details harmless from claims arising out of your failure to disclose information, property left in the vehicle, or actions you take that cause damage or hazards.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control (weather, acts of God, government actions, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, strikes, etc.). In such cases we will reschedule and communicate with you.
15. Privacy
We collect contact and booking information to provide services and communicate appointment details. Our Privacy Policy [link] explains how we store and use your information. Additionally, we encourage you to review the Privacy Policy of Urable.com, our online booking service provider & CRM.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website is the one that applies to bookings made after the effective date.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
